Intaride Intercoms are offering a £10 discount to members of the Hornet's Nest Honda Hornet Owners Club on their Intercom kit.

They are PMR446 radios - so no licence required. The kit comes with all you need to use them on the bike. There are options available for rechargeable batteries and music/phone too.

"They are very good even at 80mph plus, even with moulded earplugs in. The speakers are plenty loud enough so I can hear clearly as they are. I found it very easy to fit the headset and it is comfortable too. I stuck the mic in place with a bit of velcro to hold it in place. Best way to route the cables is so the connector from the headset comes out the right/front of the helmet and points towards the left. put the main loom up inside the right hand side of your jacket and out at the neck. When connected together it makes a nice S shape and allows full movement. (If they are both on the same side you need a long loop and i found it limited head movement) there are only 3 connections to be made to set it all up and you only need to undo 1 to walk away from your bike.

The PTT button fits to a velcro strap on the left grip. found that it is best located under your thumb so you can still operate it with the clutch in (at junctions and lights etc) the other way I tried it was to put the velcro strap on my left thumb and fit the PTT button to the inside of the thumb, running the cable down the left jacket sleeve. You can just get on and off the bike without unplugging anything then. With both radios in our top pockets the range was much good. Not sure how far but reckon it was at least 3/4 mile) the unit is SMALL (about the size of a 20 fag packet) and weighs very little.

All in all they get 9 hornets outta 10 from me!"
